공존 Coexistence: Animals and Objects (2022~)

 이 작업은 인간이 만든 물건과 동물 간의 상호작용을 탐구하며, 그 만남에서 발생하는 다양한 가능성을 보여줍니다.

동물이 단순히 사람에게 맞춰서만 살아가는 존재가 아님을 이야기 합니다.

 예를 들어, 사람들은 소파가 무엇인지, 어떻게 사용하는지 알고 있기 때문에 보통 정해진 방식으로 소파를 사용합니다. 하지만 동물은 그런 지식이 없기 때문에 훨씬 더 다양하고 예상치 못한 방식으로 물건과 작용하며 더 다양한 모습을 보여줍니다.

이러한 시각은 동물을 단순한 인간의 도구로 보던 기존 관점을 도전하며, 동물의 주체성과 물질 세계와의 관계를 다시 생각하게 합니다.

This work explores the interactions between human-made objects and animals, revealing the diverse possibilities that emerge from these encounters.

It emphasizes that animals are not merely beings living according to human expectations.

For example, humans understand what a sofa is and how to use it, so they typically interact with it in a fixed way. However, animals lack this knowledge and thus engage with objects in more varied and unexpected ways, revealing a broader range of behaviors.

This perspective challenges the conventional view of animals as mere tools for humans and invites a reconsideration of their agency and relationship with the material world.
